So – here you sit. At work. The radio is on. A fat bald guy singing a song with a pop princess turned garden invader. It’s time for a bit of zen and then it hits you. Christmas is nigh. Outside it looks like October just without the leaves. It’s a bit colder, too.
Scientists are telling us that the Gulf Stream isn’t moving as much warm water in our direction. Something to do with global warming and melting icecaps. The water isn’t a warm as it used to be. They say that we might experience colder winters as a result. This is actually bad news. Global warming is a problem, but having kids wanting to build snowmen, standing in the muddy garden waiting impatiently for the White Stuff to fall, it might not be all bad after all.

Don’t worry. Other scientist say that there is nothing to worry about. The Gulf Stream is as it should be, so just let the kids wait in the mud a little longer.
Excellent news – thanks.
I don’t know, I was rather worried by the lack of snow in the future…there is nothing as beautiful as seeing the flakes falling gently down on the earth, covering all in that white mantle and shutting out all noise…I hope very much that all children also in the future may experience this, of course rather only in the winter

Hi “Cardboardson”! now that you have to manage witout snow, what would you and yours like for christmas instead? Christmas presents only for the young ones this year??? Or do you still insist on getting one as well.
There is no christmas cake this year but plenty of mince pies and treacle toffee, which by the way have been rated 9 out of 10 in kogebogen.dk.
I would like a couple of days snow, but that is enough for me. Snow is beautiful but a lot of work for us homeowners.
