12.2 billion cheeseburgers

In 2005 customers at McDonalds ate for 122 billion DKK. Converted to cheeseburgers at the standard Danish price of 10 DKK, this amounts to a whopping (sorry Burger King) 12.2 billion cheeseburgers sold worldwide. This means that the 30.000+ restauruants that serve 50 million people in 119 countries every day have given us:

3.599.000.000.000 calories we don’t need.
158.600.000.000 grammes of fat we don’t want. That’s 158,600 tons! of fat inside our 6.5 billion bodies.

Just though you might want to know….
