It looks like winter has decided to stay for a while. I found this view not far from home and do not have much to say about it, except that I liked the dark posts against the ice. I wonder why there is an almost perfect circle around the posts?

I’ve decided to try something new. For the next month at least, I’m going to focus on shooting in black and white and only post blog photos that are cropped in the square format. Why? Well I’m hoping that this will open up new opportunities as I am forcing myself to think in a different way than usual. With a bit of luck I might even make some nice photos.

This photo was taken about 10 minutes by car from my home. I drive past this mound every day on the way to work.

Oh yes – I’m fooling around with a new template too. I mainly post pictures, so why not let them speak for themselves?

It is also one of the occasions where it really pays to know good locations in your local area, so you can charge out and know in advance exactly what you want to achieve and where.

I drove out to a place called Ketting Nor, which is only a slight detour from my normal route to work, knowing that the sun would illuminate everything from behind. Backlighting really suits mist well. I took a couple with the sun in my back, but they didn’t turn out anywhere near as dramatic as these. Enjoy.

Aftenstemning ud for kysten i Sønderborg. Solen er lige gået ned og verden bliver blå-magenta-lyserød. Og helt stille.
