Boat number unknown

I hope I'm not boring you all with yet a boat in black and white, but this one has been begging to be posted all day. How could I refuse, so here it is, the final boat on misty lake for now. I'm not sure it's as strong an image as the previous two but it was good b&w practise while it lasted. Getting the most out of the available tonal range is a big challenge - but it is also fun. I wonder when I'm going to post a colour shot again....

Well, compared to your two other photos of the boat, I consider this the best one. The setting seems more harmonic and the "free" misty space on the left and the reflection of the trees gives a good overall balance. Nice work.

I would say the second is the best one; it's only my opinion :-) It seems like the conditions were great for shooting that day :-p

I like the subtle tree-line featured in the top of the frame... really adds to the reflected composition.

Another terrific shot. You really do have a way with the minimalist compositions and B&W tones. This rivals the first boat shot in the series. Beautiful.
