Unrooted
I'm pretty lucky when it comes to available coastlines within minutes of my home. If I turn right I end up at a fjord; left takes me to a sandy shore. This is taken at the fjord a couple of days after some windy weather pushed a lot of water inwards. The water did its erosion thing and revealed all kinds of roots. These are probably from some kind of grass, but as they lay on the dark soil I thought the bright roots contrasted the dark soil nicely. At the same time they reminded me of the shape of a tree, so I decided to take a picture.
